aigle-bio For the past ten years, El Boy Die has been paving a new and unique path for folk music.A native to France, he has been embarking on an ambitious career that has taken him to places throughout Europe and North America. Through a vagabond attitude and “do it yourself” approach, he has been able to shape a distinctive sound that deviates from the modern framework of folk. Drawing inspiration from a broad range of eclectic sound like tribal chanting to medieval ambience, his music is an emotional experience that genuinely convey feelings of romanticism, sorrow and hope. El Boy Die evokes vitality in the stagnation and vibrancy in the simplicity.

After accomplishing his album How the way is long in Paris El Boy Die ventured west to reside in Montreal, where he recently finished his new album Black Hawk Ladies & Tambourins and has completed a more recent project, Witches. His new album, Black Hawk Ladies & Tambourins is a pronounced sense of creativity. The album features Herman Dune, Ben from Cyann & Ben / Yeti Lane, Black Hawk Lady Jane and engineering from Alec from the Spider Cat House. The overall effect leaves the listener suspended in a trance that is whimsical, eerie and intense. With idiomatic flow and flawless execution it is a reference point of a new direction and new perspective.

The current project Witches is a departure from previous work that is a reflection of weird introspection. Collaborating with the credited musician Leopold Skin, the new album is a of a haunting display of innovative imagination, heavy sentiment and tragic optimism. It is an apocalyptic allegory that takes the mind to an altered and strange world through its hypnotic melodies and reverb saturated echoes.
